From late-night clubbing to wholesome bowling: Lindsay Lohan tones down her party girl image in New York

By Daily Mail Reporter

Bowling queen: Lindsay went on a wholesome trip to the Bowlmor Lanes, near New York's infamous Times Square yesterday

She raised alarms when she was spotted doing some late-night clubbing in New York earlier this week.

But in a bid to tone down the party girl image, Lindsay Lohan opted for a more conservative pastime yesterday - bowling.

The actress, along with her brother Michael Lohan Jr, little sister Ali Lohan, and around 10 friends all went on the wholesome trip to the Bowlmor Lanes, in New York's Times Square.

The large group stayed in a private area otherwise known as the Chinatown Room.
In a pair of skinny jeans, a black vest and blue cardigan, the 24-year-old went casual for the outing.

She later swapped her super high stiletto boots for some bowling shoes.

A cheery Lindsay later tweeted to her friends about the outing.

'Just spent the afternoon bowling with my little brother and sister at @bowlmorlanes, Michael's so good ha!' she wrote.

But as the night drew, she once again ventured out again.

This time she was dressed up in a printed draped mini dress, a casual black jacket and some combat boots.

It is unknown where she was going for her evening outing.

With a friend in tow, they left in a black car.

Lohan travelled to New York earlier this week to spend some 'quiet time' with her family while she mulls over whether or not to accept a plea deal in her grand theft case after she was accused of stealing a necklace.

But at first Lohan didn't seem to be spending much time relaxing as she kept busy catching up with friends in the city.

She then sparked immediate concern when she was seen enjoying the delights of New York's hottest nightclubs.

The actress was photographed at various venues around the city, including parties at the 1-Oak nightclub and the Simyone Lounge.

She was then forced to come forward to insist that while she has been making the most of Manhattan's night-life, she has remained sober while doing so.

Quieter: Her outing appeared to be a bid to tone down the party girl image

Following suggestions that she had started drinking again, Lohan told gossip website TMZ.com: 'I did not drink... period. I do not drink... period.

And a source told the New York Post: 'There was no way Lindsay was going to stay home with her mom. She had dinner, and then, bringing along her water bottle, went clubbing to SL, where she hung out with Tyson Beckford and got in the booth with DJ Phresh.

'She seemed totally sober and upbeat.'

Lohan's decision to spend time with her friends rather than her family has apparently left her siblings and mother Dinah upset that she is not taking her legal problems seriously.

The source added: 'Her family is furious. She's supposed to be spending time with them and deciding if she'll take a plea deal. It's almost as if she thinks she may as well have one last final fling.'

But in a bid to appease her family, in addition to yesterday's bowling trip, Lohan also spent the night before with siblings Michael Lohan Jr, Ali and Cody Lohan as they watched the Memphis Grizzlies vs New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden.

Lohan looked pretty in a peach chiffon shirt, shiny leggings and boots as she watched the match, smiling for the cameras and appearing happy and relaxed.

And while she has insisted she is not drinking, it was claimed recently the actress' probation is at risk, because she is drinking a fermented tea with a minuscule alcohol content.

Lohan is said to have told her probation officer that she regularly consumes Kombucha tea, which has an alcohol content of 0.5 per cent or less

Now the Los Angeles County Probation Department have added it to a list of reasons why the judge should violate her probation when she appears in court next week.

Lohan has until March 23rd to decide whether or not to accept Judge Keith Schwartz's plea deal, in which he is said to have offered the actress 60-90 days in jail she pleads guilty in her grand theft case.

But Lohan is understood to be resistant to accepting the terms and is considering taking her chances at trial.

If Lindsay accepts the deal, she will then appear in court on March 25.
However, if she decides to go to trial, she is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on April 2.

Lohan is accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from the Kamofie & Company boutique in Venice Beach, Los Angeles on January 22. She denies the charge.
