'He keeps knocking me up!' Jessica Simpson reveals she has tried to marry Eric Johnson twice... but keeps getting pregnant

They have been engaged for two years, and Jessica Simpson has revealed she and Eric Johnson have set two separate wedding dates.

However the star admitted that she hasn't had the opportunity to walk down the aisle - because both times she then fell pregnant.

'We've had two different wedding dates, but he keeps knocking me up,' she said when she appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Tuesday night.

'We're doing it very backwards, I know... I'll just keep my legs crossed, I guess, this time.'

The 32-year-old, who is pregnant with her second child and confessed it was not planned, displayed her blossoming figure in a low-cut leopard print clingy dress, which displayed plenty of her ample cleavage and clung to her tiny baby bump.

'Apparently it was a part of God's plan for my life,' she laughed as she chatted about her new pregnancy. 'I was extremely shocked because I was going through a lot of hormonal changes, trying to get back to the old, vibrant Jessica. You know, it was kind of like a one-night stand. And it happened, all over again!'

The glowing star is watching what she eats this time around, after gaining what she said was 'a lot more than doctors would recommend.'

She added: 'I didn't really make any healthy good decisions.'

The singer and actress, who recently lost 50lbs on Weight Watchers, paired her racy ensemble with sky-high black satin heels and her platinum blonde hair was perfectly coiffed.

It was recently revealed that Jessica is already plotting her return to the small screen in a new sitcom pilot for NBC, which will be inspired by her life, and the blonde was happy to divulged about it.

When asked if it was about 'a girl who keeps getting pregnant', Jessica replied: 'Yes, and how that girl deals with that and everything else. I will be playing myself, which is pretty easy.'

She went on: 'We don't have a name yet, we're just now in the process of casting everyone, doing the pilot. I will be playing myself but we'll have actors playing Eric and my dad. That'll be funny.'

According to Deadline, the engaged star is excited to produce and star in the single-camera, half-hour series.

Executive producers for the pilot are already dubbing Jessica a 'modern day Lucy' - including Nick Bakay, Ben Silverman, Jimmy Fox, and Jessica’s father/manager Joe Simpson.

Silverman explained: 'From running a fashion empire to wrangling her public image as a new mom, we see Jessica’s character approach a variety of "everyday" circumstances that will get audiences laughing out loud.'

As many will know, this isn't the first time Jessica has dabbled in reality.

Back in 2004, Jessica filmed a pilot called Jessica where she played a pop star-turned-TV news anchor, but ABC opted not to pick the series up.

Meanwhile, the Weight Watchers spokesperson and her fiancé Eric Johnson have been holidaying with their eight-month-old daughter Maxwell in Hawaii.

'Motherhood is the best thing I've ever experienced - and the most challenging,' Simpson told People magazine.

'On some of the days of Fashion Star, I'm awake before Maxwell is awake, and I'm not home until she's already back to sleep. That's only happened about four times, but it makes the day awful.'

She continued, 'I definitely need to see my baby. I get really sad if I don't get to see her. And then when Maxwell sees me, she just stares at me and touches my face. I can tell she missed me. That breaks my heart.'

Jessica Simpson is pregnant with her second child just seven months after having daughter Maxwell, it has been claimed.

The 32-year-old mother, who has dropped four stone since giving birth in April, is not thought to have planned the pregnancy.

'It definitely wasn't planned. But yes, Jessica is pregnant again', a source revealed to Us Weekly.

It will be the second baby for the Fashion Star mentor and fiance Eric Johnson.

'She really is overjoyed!', said the source.

According to TMZ, the star lost a staggering 60 pounds on a healthy eating plan filled with low-fat smoothies, protein and plenty of vegetables as part of a $4million sponsorship with Weight Watchers.

The nutritious plan, obtained by TMZ, was devised by her former private chef and adheres to the WeightWatchers point system where each food has a 'points value' based on calories and fat content.

The plan, featuring dishes such as super low calorie egg white omelettes, chicken satays, whipped chick peas, soba noodles and shrimp skewers, has clearly worked wonders.

On top of her healthy eating regime, Jessica has been spotted hitting the gym hard in recent weeks

Her diet began in July with a 15-day smoothie diet consisting of five days of three smoothies a day, gradually working in snacks and meals over time.

On Thanksgiving Jessica shared a card on her official website and Twitter page with the message: ‘I am so grateful for my new lil family! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!’

It is unclear whether Jessica spent Thanksgiving with other members of her famous family.

The former singer, who delivered her child via Caesarean section, also told People that nursing her little girl has 'become a full-on job'.

It has been a long time coming, but Jessica Simpson has given birth to her first child.

The 31-year-old star today welcomed a baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson, into the world, announcing the happy news via a banner on her official website.

Jessica wrote: 'Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson.

'We are so grateful for all the love, support and prayers we have received. This is been the greatest experience of our lives.'

Maxwell weighed in at 9lbs 13oz, and apparently takes her middle name from Jessica's mother Tina, whose maiden name is Drew.

While Drew pays tribute to Jessica's side of the family, Maxwell is Eric's middle name.

Members of the Jessica’s family were spotted arriving at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles today.

Jessica’s mother and sister Ashlee, and the parents of her fiancé Eric Johnson, were seen at the hospital with excited looks on their faces.

Last month, the star threw a lavish Texan-themed baby shower that was attended by celebrity guests including Jessica Alba and Ellen Pompeo.

She is said to have put a grand baby weight loss plan in place after giving birth and is rumoured to be the next face of Weight Watchers for the post-baby slim down plan.

Jessica, who became engaged to Eric in November 2010 after six months of dating, was previously married to Nick Lachey, from 2002 to 2005.

The marriage landed them their own reality TV show, Newlyweds, which saw the pair become household names.

Jessica, who appears to have been pregnant for much longer than her three trimesters, told the magazine that she can't wait to deliver her unborn son or daughter.

'I feel like I could pop at any second,' she said.

The singer recently celebrated her impending motherhood with a baby shower at her Los Angeles home.

Jessica told Hello! magazine that the bash, which was attended by the likes of Jessica Alba and her sister Ashlee Simpson, had a Charlotte's Web theme.

The E.B. White book was Jessica's favourite fictional story growing up.

During the celebrations, the woman played games and enjoyed several activities including guessing the size the size of Jessica’s bump and knitting lessons.

The get together wasn't just for adults only: the guest list also had the who's who of celebrity offsprings.

Alba brought her daughter, Haven, seven months, and Ashlee brought her son Bronx, three.

A source told Life & Style magazine: 'They tossed around a lot of names, including some wacky ones like Zinfandel, but couldn't agree on anything.

'They're going to call her Maxwell, Maxi for short. Maxwell is Eric's middle name, and also his beloved grandma's maiden name. Jessica wanted a name with meaning.'

Jessica - who was previously married to singer Nick Lachey - is due to give birth on April 20 after doctors brought forward her due date.

The source added: 'She's gained so much weight and the baby is so big that doctors pushed up the date.

'Jessica and Eric are so eager to meet Maxwell!'

There's no doubt about it Jessica Simpson will be giving birth any day now and she is sporting an extremely large baby bump.

But on tonight's Jay Leno show the singer and businesswoman joked that she was so big she looked like she was having twins as she chatted with the host and another guest Adam Corolla.

Leno asked Adam, who has twins if he had any parenting tips for the actress and singer - and Jessica thought he was insinuating that she was having twins.

Jessica also spoke about how she found out she was pregnant - she had a feeling of guilt over plans to drink cocktails with friends so she decided to take a test.

Before adding: 'Now she’ll just be in the wedding.'

Speaking about taping the show, when she was in the early stages of pregnancy she said she was sweating a lot in the studio and came up with an unusual nickname for herself.

She said: 'I came up with it because I was sweating my butt off. I had major ‘swamp ass.’

Jessica, who has her own billion dollar clothing empire, said she Nicole Richie and Elle Macpherson were looking for ' a new fashion icon' on the show.
