He is filming a movie called No Pain No Gain and Mark Wahlberg has been showing off just how much he has gained from being a fitness fanatic.

The 40-year-old actor has been spotted displaying his huge biceps as he films scenes for the action movie in Miami.

However despite his impressive physique Mark was no match for Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, 39, when he showed up on set this week.

Towering: The Rock made Mark look positively tiny as the pair stood side by side

To add insult to injury, 5 ft 7in Mark looked positively tiny next to his 6 ft 5in co-star as the pair got down to work.

The duo were both decked out in tank tops and tracksuit bottoms for filming in the sunshine.

The movie is about a couple of bodybuilders in Florida who get caught up in an extortion ring and a kidnapping scheme that goes terribly wrong.


Big difference: Mark stands at 5 ft 7in while The Rock is an impressive 6 ft 5in

How appropriate!: A luminous yellow muscle car was also seen on the Florida set

And in keeping with the theme of the film a luminous yellow muscle car was spotted on set.

A muscle car is described as 'any of a group of American-made 2-door sports coupes with powerful engines designed for high-performance driving' and ranges from vehicles such as Oldsmobiles and Ford Mustangs to Pontiacs and Chevrolets.

The vehicles are favoured by the likes of Olivier Martinez, Sean Penn and Amber Heard.

It wasn’t just the trendy cars setting motors racing on set of the movie today.


Co-stars: The duo have also been seen shooting with Anthony Mackie (R), who appears alongside them in the film

Macho man: Mark has also been spotted conducting some of his own stunts on set, but has a double for the more precarious acts

Spanish actress Yolanthe Sneijder-Cabau was spotted strutting past a swimming pool in a colourful crocheted dress over a bikini and gold heeled sandals.

Earlier this week Mark was seen filming stunts for the action film, which included dangling upside down on a wire.

However he also had a stunt double on hand to help with the more precarious scenes.

Last month the Contraband star irritated plenty of film fans after saying he knew who would win what at the Oscars before divulging insider information.

He claimed that he had a friend at PricewaterhouseCoopers with inside knowledge about the awards.

'It's not a matter of who I want to win, it's who I know is going to win,' Mark told the Huffington Post UK. 'Because I've got a friend at PriceWaterhouse.'
