They're undoubtedly the girls you wouldn't want to bump into on a nigh tout, because their sleek and polished appearances quickly become the envy of every woman in the near vicinity.

Victoria Beckham and Kate Beckinsale looked stunning as they attended pal Eva Longoria's birthday party last night, with Posh Spice leading the way in a black minidress which showed off her slender legs.

The 37-year-old star teamed the dress with a pair of sky-high black heels and a crocodile skin clutch bag for the evening out.

Birthday girl Eva also opted for an LBD for the occasion, wearing a chic shift number with silver sparkling detailing around the shoulders.

And Kate stood out from her BFFs in a pair of tight black leggings, which she paired with a stylish loose cream blazer.

While Eva and Kate appeared to be sharing a joke as they made their way into Cecconi's restaurant in Hollywood, Victoria appeared to be concentrating entirely on making her way safely inside, pushing her hair away from her face to ensure she didn't stumble in front of photographers.

However, Eva looked more concerned about having a giggle with her gal pal as they headed inside the eatery.

Celebrating her 37th birthday, newly-single Eva, who recently split from Eduardo Cruz, wrote on her Twitter page: 'I'm just overwhelmed with the beautiful messages from all over the world! Thank u so much! Luv u tweeples!'

She later added: 'My house is a flower shop! I'm overwhelmed with happiness today! Thank U everybody!'

Before her dinner out with Posh and Kate, Eva had paid a trip to the Paley Center alongside friend Ken Paves to have a look at the art displayed in the gallery there.

Once there, the actress appeared to bump into fellow actress Melanie Griffith, who was also enjoying an evening out at the center.

Last night was the second birthday celebration for Eva, who previously celebrated at a dinner with friends on Tuesday night as she joined friends including Entourage star Kevin Connolly and Extra host Mario Lopez at the Beverly Wilshire hotel restaurant Cut by Wolfgang Puck.
