She's such a Brat! Nicki Minaj appeared to have taken inspiration from the Bratz dolls in the video for her new single Stupid Hoe
She's got her work cut out for her, finding more and more unique ideas to stand out in today's music market.
So when it came to coming up with a concept for her new video, Nicki Minaj decided to take inspiration from another mainstream favourite - the Bratz fashion dolls.
Nicki is seen with dramatic almond-shaped eyes, very similar to the ones sported by the children's favourite toys in the video for her new single Stupid Hoe.
Not so mellow yellow: Nicki wore garish yellow lipstick and pink hair
The eyes have it: Nicki's eyes were unusually large in the new video
Nicki teams the digitally-enhanced eyes with bright yellow lips at one point during the video, before opting for baby blue eyeshadow and lipstick for another section.
And in a recent interview, Nicki revealed that she can't go without brightly-coloured lipstick.
She said: 'I can't see myself without pink lipstick. I can go without it for a couple days, but if there was no more pink lipstick in the world, I'd be useless.'
The 29-year-old singer also shows off her flexibility by pulling up her leg behind her head.
The video for Nicki's new song comes after it was revealed that her album, the follow-up to her debut record Pink Friday, has been delayed in its release.
