Words of wisdom: Cher Lloyd says she has helped Jesy from Little Mix overcome her fears and just enjoy life in the spotlight
This time last year, Cher Lloyd started to doubt herself being hit with a flurry of abuse on Twitter.
But now The X Factor graduate is doling out sensible advice to Little Mix star Jesy Nelson, 20.
The Swagger Jagger singer revealed on This Morning today that she called the young hopeful in a bid to help her battle the cyber bullies.
Speaking to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, she said: 'I actually called her because I was at an awards ceremony and she didn't turn up with the rest of her band. And I was a bit like, "Why isn't she here?"
'So I spoke to the girls and they were saying she doesn't want to come out today because she doesn't feel good about herself.'
Rising star: Cher has come along way since her says on The X Factor, speaking of her journey on This Morning today
The remaining members of the quartet, Perrie Edwards, 18, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 19, and Jade Thirlwall, 18, all attended the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women Awards at Banqueting Hall with their fellow contestants last week.
Jesy was noticeably absent, with fans presuming she was sick.
Cher, 18, said: 'So I rang her up and I was like, "You've got the biggest platform ever. You've got a massive opportunity. Go out there, be happy."'
Loyal: Cher signed autographs for fans outside the ITV studios
Speaking of the title of debut album Sticks + Stones, she added: 'I'm saying for everything that's ever gone on, and even pre-X Factor, it's just a message to say I know a lot of bad things have happened.
'I've been called very nasty words and stuff like that and it's all in the past now. I've done what I've always wanted to do.
'It's just final now that I've got something that I can be so proud of and forget all the bad things.'
And then there were three: Jesy did not attend the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women Awards with her band over fears of her weight
She also credited boyfriend Craig Monk for making her 'very happy', saying: 'He makes things a lot easier for me and I'm able to just be happy.
'And he makes me realise that the opportunity that I've got, and how hard I've worked, I should use it and just be happy.
'It would be a lot better of a place for me if I just had a smile on my face.'
Stronger: Jesy looked happy today as she arrived at the studios with her band, having had their hair and make-up styled from a previous photoshoot
