Struggling: Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson broke down in tears on last night's X Factor over hurtful internet comments about her weight
She's won herself thousands of fans all over the world with her down-to-earth attitude and personable behaviour.
But last night Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson broke down in tears on X Factor after discovering hurtful comments regarding her weight left on Twitter.
The 20-year-old singer told bandmate Jade Thirlwall that she was struggling with her own insecurities after seeing the comments.
Speaking before the newly-named Little Mix took to the stage, Jesy spoke to the camera, saying: 'People are writing a few nasty comments and it has just got to me a little bit.
'When you've got your own insecurities and then when people go and tell you and write them on websites for everyone to see it just makes you feel really rubbish.
'Being in a girl group with three beautiful girls who are a lot slimmer and smaller than me... and obviously I know I'm a lot bigger. I find it really hard when people publicise it on Twitter.'
Emotional: Jesy admitted the comments were making her even more insecure about her appearance
Support: Jesy got a huge from bandmate Jade Thirwall after her emotional admission
But bandmate Jade was quick to assure Jesy she had nothing to feel insecure about, telling her: 'You're one of the prettiest, nicest people I have ever met, and I hate seeing you upset.'
Fans were also quick to take to Twitter to tell Jesy she needn't feel upset about her appearance following her emotional admission.
One Twitter user wrote: 'Jesy, don't let anyone put you down. You are beautiful and amazing. You 4 are the best girl band x factor has ever seen!'
Rocking the stage: The girls got positive comments from the judges over their performance of Katy Perry and Kanye West's E.T.
'They're just jealous': Judge Louis Walsh also reassured Jesy and told her not to read the negative comments
While another added: 'How people can be so mean to Jesy on the UK x factor because shes different but shes beautiful...'
And Jesy was also cheered up after Little Mix won positive comments from the judges for their performance of Katy Perry and Kanye West's E.T.
After their rendition of the spooky song, which saw the girls dressed up as scary dolls, Louis Walsh said: 'You're four of the nicest girls we have ever had on X Factor.
Did you like your make-up? The girls left the TV studios after the show still wearing their spooky make-up
'And Jesy, don't read those negative things about you because people are just jealous of you because you're talented and you're on The X Factor.'
After their performance, the girl group took to Twitter and thanks fans for their support.
They wrote: 'Tonight was so much fun! We really enjoyed it and hope you all vote for us! We love you all! :D lots of love.'
