Earlier in the evening: Sam and Billie Faiers started the night having cocktails at luxury hotel The Sanderson

The Only Way Is Essex star Sam Faiers has spoken of her horrifying assault by a gang of girls, admitting she thought 'I was going to die'.

The glamour model, 20, was beaten until she was unconscious after she was lured to an estate near Chigwell, Essex on false pretences.

Sam was beaten up shortly after her older sister Billie was robbed and attacked by the same gang in a London nightclub.

Billie, 21, explained how a fun night out turned sinister when the group of girls surrounded her on the dancefloor at the Jet Black club near Tottenham Court Road.

After she was cut by a glass or bottle in the club, the action moved outside, when she was kicked and punched by members of the group.

She told The Sun: 'They were punching me and hitting me with their high heels when I was on the ground. They pulled my hair and dragged me along the street.

'I thought, "I'm in real trouble now". No one could help me. They took my shoes, my bag and my phone. I can only compare them to wild animals.'

Supportive: Despite their difficult break-up, Sam's ex-boyfriend Joey Essex bought flowers today for the ailing reality star

Part of the incident was videoed and uploaded onto YouTube.

After an injured Billie was driven home to her friend Greg Shephard's house in Chigwell, her younger sister Sam was travelling home separately in a taxi,.

She then received a phonecall from one of the alleged assailants, who promised to give her back her sister's belongings.

Sam told the paper: 'They just came at me like a herd of elephants.

Thinking of you: Friends and family of Sam and Billie left flowers at their house today to wish them well

Worried: Sam and Billie's mother Suzanne Wells drives away after spending some time with her girls

'It's just a blur. I was being so violently attacked by so many girls there was nothing I could do but curl up into a ball. Then I passed out.'

After the attack, both sisters went to hospital for treatment.

Following a brain scan, Sam was treated for two black eyes, an injured neck, cuts and bruises, while Billie has a split lip.

Attacked: Billie doubles over as she is attacked in front of spectators

Both sisters have cited 'jealousy' for the motivation behind the unprovoked attack, which has since been reported to police.

Billie is quoted in the Daily Star as telling friends: 'I don’t think I’ll ever get over this. When I was told what had happened to Sam, I just went cold and started crying.

'I thought we had lost her. We didn’t do anything wrong. We were just set upon by these screaming girls for no reason. I want them caught and sent down.'

Dragged away: Billie is pulled away by her arm as she continues to argue with someone on the opposite side of the railings

Their TOWIE co-star Gemma Collins added to the paper: 'They know who did it and will get justice 100 per cent. Sam and Billie are in a terrible state.

'They are such nice girls. What sort of world are we living in if people think they can go round beating people up?

'It’s disgusting. Their mum’s very upset and the TOWIE lot are very upset.'
In the YouTube video, Billie is seen being attacked by a girl outside the club.

A passer-by caught the action on their camera phone, which shows Billie being thrown to the floor, being called a 'sl*g' and having her hair yanked.

Lending a hand: A group of men try to protect Billie from getting into further danger

Seeking revenge: Billie decides she wants to confront the girls again and turns back on herself

The pavements were thronging with revellers who stopped to witness the action, yet no one appeared to be able to successfully break up the fight.

Billie's spokesman Luke Mills said: 'It was a massively unprovoked attack, which was clearly premeditated. We are assisting police with their inquiries.'

A Metropolitan Police spokesman added: 'Police received an allegation of theft and assault at approximately 4.30pm on October 23 relating to events that took place at some point during the night of October 22 into 23.

'Officers will now take steps to establish the full circumstances.'

Sam’s manager Adam Muddle from Money North said: 'Both girls
are now recovering at home.'

Intimidating: An unknown girl then approaches Billie, as the TOWIE star stumbles around and tries to find her footing

Confrontation: Unknown of the dangers ahead, Billie walks back to the girl screaming at her

On Monday, the sisters took to their Twitter pages to thank fans for their support.

Sam wrote: 'Just want to say a big thank you to everyone. I love u all lots. Am resting up all day. Thank you for your kind messages xx.

'No excuse for 9 girls to attack like that. It's a disgrace. Thanks for support.
'Laying in the Lounge with tea, watching tele x x x reading all your amazing kind and understanding tweets.'

Billie added: 'Thank you to everyone for your kind and supportive tweets xxx.'

Cat fight: Billie's female attacker is then led away by a security guard

The Faiers' co-stars have been showing their support on Twitter, with many of the TOWIE crew saying the attack was sparked by jealousy.

Mark Wright wrote: 'Hearts with @SamanthaFaiers and @BillieFaiers 2night. Chin up girls its jealousy. Get well. Thinking of u. Love u both x.'

James 'Arg' Argent revealed he had spoken to Sam and 'thank God she said she'll be ok!'

Maria Fowler added: 'Sending my love to @SamanthaFaiers and @BillieFaiers hope they're ok. Jealousy is an illness!!! be strong girls! xxxxxxx.'

Inquiries: Police were seen arriving at Sam and Billie's house yesterday afternoon

While Chloe Sims said: 'Thinking of you tonight girls @SamanthaFaiers @BillieFaiers big kiss and cuddle, xxx.'

Lydia Bright and Lauren Pope also sent condolences, while Harry Derbridge wrote: 'Sending all my love to sam and billie, when I found out I was so upset. Them girls are so lovely, shows what jealous brings!

'Feeling really sad tonight, them girls are so lovely and did not deserve it at all, love you so much girls, i will always be there for yous!

Horrified: No doubt their TOWIE co-stars Lauren Goodger, Frankie Essex, Harry Derbidge, Chloe Sims and Lauren Pope were talking about the attack as they filmed at the Chelmsford Dance Centre

'@BillieFaiers love you sooo much, gonna try come see you tomorrow, love you xxxxxxx'

Lucy Mecklenburgh said whoever committed the crime 'should b ashamed' adding, 'Hope they get wat they deserve! Scum!'

Meanwhile, the Faiers sisters were notably absent as The Only Way Is Essex resumed filming yesterday.

Their co-stars gathered at a dance studio in Chelmsford to film scenes, but no doubt the Faiers were weighing heavily on their mind.
