Tom's girl turns Tomboy as she ditches the dolls and heels for comfy Uggs and a train set

For a little lady as girlie as Suri Cruise, you'd have expected her to make a beeline for the dolls upon entering a toy shop.

But the four-year-old clearly thought that the train set looked much more fun as she shopped with her mother yesterday.

Suri was snapped out with Katie Holmes in Vancouver yesterday as they ambled round a kids market in the Canadian city.


Much more fun than a boring doll! Suri looked as though she was really enjoying being a Tomboy for the afternoon


The pair visited the Granville Island Kids Market which has 28 shops and an indoor play area and amusement arcade, ideal for a family day out.

Katie, 32, and her daughter stopped at a toy shop where Suri appeared to have been given a free reign to choose whichever toy she wanted.

But rather than head for the dressing up box or the shelves and shelves of dolls, she headed straight for a Thomas The Tank Engine train set.

And she looked as though she was really enjoying being a Tomboy for the afternoon as she pushed the trains along the track.

She pushed Thomas along the wooden track which had been assembled inside the shop, before noticing his friend Percy.


Where shall we go first? Katie and Suri arrive at the kids market and survey their surroundings


She then wandered round with Katie, picking up some toy animals before finding a Canadian flag and waving it around.

Of course, she hadn't gone all out to be a Tomboy for the day as she wore a dark pink coat and pretty polka dot dress with white hearts on the pockets.

But she had swapped her ballet pumps or heels for comfy and warm Ugg boots - in her trademark pink, of course

The pair are in the Canadian city while Tom Cruise shoots the latest installment of the Mission: Impossible film franchise.

And they have certainly been making the most of their time in Vancouver, popping out on regular coffee runs and shopping for make-up.
