Pregnant at 51? Gillian McKeith is said to have claimed she is pregnant, but producers wouldn't air the scene after fearing it would be too unsettling for viewers to watch as Gillian continues to behave erratically

Gillian McKeith has had her fair share of drama during her stint on I’m A Celebrity, but now the 51-year-old has claimed she’s pregnant.

Her bizarre claim comes after continuous erratic behaviour and is thought to be a bid to exit the jungle jail.

Gillian is said to have shouted that she was pregnant when sent to the jungle jail after cheating in the Kangaroo Court challenge, according to The Sun.

But producers chose not to air the scene after deeming it too unsettling for viewers, the tabloid claimed.

The fragile contestant’s mental state has continued to deteriorate during her time on the ITV show and she has apparently told other celebrities that she’s been hearing voices too.

Contestant Lembit Opik said: ‘Gillian’s levels of aliments have increased and she has been hearing voices. She is very weak and frail at the moment.’

I’m A Celebrity bosses fear for her health after she’s fainted three times and the TV nutritionist wants her to speak to their on-set psychologist.

An ITV source has brushed off her pregnancy claims as ‘a joke’, but it has only sparked more concern for her mental health.

Contestants' fear: Gillian's campmates are also concerned for her wellbeing and Stacey Solomon suggested she should quit the show because of her phobias

But a spokesperson for the reality TV show denied reports that Gillian has been ruled out of all future challenges due to health reasons.

However, the TV nutritionist, who suffers from scoliosis, has been exempt from the next challenge under health and safety rules.

The Scot managed to avoid last night’s Bushtucker Trial too, after being given another exemption, leaving Stacey Solomon and Aggro Santos to take on the challenge.

And her poor performance in Bushtucker Trials has only angered her campmates, leaving one of her few allies, Stacey, suggesting she should quit the show.

The former X Factor contestant told Gillian: ‘If you’re so afraid and have so many phobias and are ill over it, you should go. There’s nothing keeping you here. You said it’s unbearable.’

But McKeith is determined to stay despite her constant phobias wreaking havoc on her sanity.

Tough challenge: Gillian did enter a challenge last night, where she and Dom entered a giant lobsterpot as it was lowered into the water

Water phobia: Despite saying she had a phobia of water and had never put her head under before, Gillian managed to swim down and collect a star from the underwater box as part of the task

Relaxed: Dom Joly successfully picked up all six stars - later revealing he didn't find it too difficult because he was an avid scuba diver
