still on speaking terms: Arnold Schwarzenegger and son Patrick went for lunch in Los Angeles today
Arnold Schwarzenegger's eldest son Patrick has moved out of the family home to a smaller apartment near his school.
But showing there are no hard feelings between the two, Patrick joined his father for a burger today.
While he looked preoccupied, Patrick was obviously attempting to rebuild his relationship with his father, as they visited Fred Segal in Los Angeles.
The 17-year-old had been living alone at the Schwarzenegger's Brentwood compound since his parents' marriage broke down, while his mother Maria Shriver had temporarily relocated to a hotel.
But it appears the high school student found it too 'lonely' living in the $23million, seven bedroom mansion by himself and has moved to a more modest-sized flat.
His devastated mother and his siblings are believed to be living in a Beverly Hills hotel as they deal with the fallout from the former California Governor's fathering of a love child with the housekeeper.

Despite his family turmoil, Patrick is trying to stay focused on his studies and was spotted last week carrying an Algebra text book.
Although siding with his mother, Patrick insists he still loves his father.
After finding out that Arnie fathered a secret love-child with their housekeeper of 20 years, Mildred ‘Patty’ Baena, Patrick changed his last name from Schwarzenegger to Shriver on Twitter.

But he told X17Online.com in Beverly Hills of his father: ‘I love him.’
And he tweeted after the scandal broke: ‘Some days you feel like sh**, some days you want to quit and just be normal for a bit, yet I love my family till death do us part.’
Meanwhile, it's emerged Arnold didn't believe he needed a DNA test to establish the paternity of Baena's son Joseph because it was so 'physically obvious'.

TMZ.com claims Baena's husband wasn't even in the country when the baby was conceived.
It's been reported even household staff sometimes confused Joseph with the Schwarzenegger's youngest son Christopher, now 12.
Patrick is one of four children of the couple. He has two sisters, Katherine, 21, and Christina, 19 and one brother Christopher, plus now his half-brother Joseph Baena, 13.
He studies at Brentwood School in Los Angeles and at the age of 16 he founded the company Project 360 – a clothing line that donates 10 per cent of all its sales to a variety of causes.

The teenager is also signed with LA Models and had a small role in the 2006 film The Benchwarmers.
The Schwarzenegger family was shaken to its core this month when the Terminator star’s affair was revealed.
After 25 years of marriage, Maria Shriver is expected to file for divorce and was spotted seeking comfort last week from U2 frontman Bono.
The 51-year-old rocker, who has been married to his wife Alison Hewson since 1982, gave Shriver his words of wisdom over lunch in Beverly Hills.

Maria is expected to officially file for divorce any day now, as allegations of possible more love-children fathered by Schwarzenegger have been rumoured.
The Hollywood actor has also been accused of using taxpayers’ money to cover up multiple affairs which has triggered a criminal investigation.
The National Enquirer reported that the former governor of California used his security detail in keeping details of his liaisons a secret.
But Schwarzenegger’s attorney hit back at the claims made by law enforcement officer William Taylor and said the reports were ‘totally and completely false.’
