Turning back the clock: A youthful Gwyneth Paltrow leaves Good Morning America after an early start to promote her new movie Country Strong

Gwyneth Paltrow appeared to have turned back the years as she arrived for her interview on Good Morning America this morning.

From her line-free face to her radiant skin, bushy eyelashes and bright white teeth, she showed no sign of the early start.

Even though Gwyneth was smiling widely there were hardly any sign of lines or wrinkles around her eyes.

The actress wore her blonde hair loose and wavy, and kept her make-up natural.

But she looked noticeably different to this time last year, when her face looked lined and more natural.

Gwyneth's early start was to promote her new movie Country Strong, which is released in the U.S. this week.

Looking good: Gwyneth kept warm in a large padded coat with fur trim

And she has revealed that her inspiration for her character came from an unusual source - her friend Beyonce.

The actress said husband Chris Martin, singer of rockers Coldplay, had offered to help her prepare to play a stage legend in the Hollywood blockbuster. But she had a better idea.

'He was of course supportive and amazing but I really relied more on my girlfriend singers like Beyonce,' Gwyneth admitted of her husband.

Opening up: The singer credited her friend Beyonce with inspiring her character in Country Strong

'It's one thing to play someone who is trying to make it, but I was playing somebody who was supposed to be a bonafide superstar.

'That's what scared me the most - how am I going to realistically pull this off? So I studied Beyonce, how she performs and that amazing confidence she has.

'I thought if I could just channel a little thimble full of Beyonce's confidence I'll be fine.'

She admits the movie, in which she plays a fallen country music superstar, made her fall in love with the music she was playing on screen.

Starring role: Gwyneth in Country Strong

'I had never really been exposed to much country music, but during this movie I fell madly in love with it and listen to it all the time,' she said.

But her newfound talent as a singer is now set to see her performing alongside another of her idols: Cee Lo.

'We're emailing each other, we don't know where that's going to go,' she said of plans to perform together, perhaps on Saturday Night Live.

'But I am such a big fan of Cee Lo - he is so gorgeous and amazing and talented.'
