Bombshell: Katie Price revealed newly-dyed blonde tresses in Las Vegas

When it comes to staying in the public eye, you can never underestimate the power of reinvention - and no-one understands that better than Katie Price.

For as she stepped out in Las Vegas, the 32-year-old must have known the paparazzi would go wild when she unveiled her transition from buxom brunette to blonde bombshell.

After showcasing rich chocolate locks for two years, Price - also known as Jordan - has decided to go back to a more sunkissed look because she believes 'blondes do have more fun'.

She said to The Mirror: 'I had been dark for a good couple of years so it was time for a change.'

The glamour model and businesswoman tossed a luscious mane of honey blonde tresses as she arrived at Mandalay Bay casino and events centre to watch a boxing match between friend Amir Khan and his Argentinian opponent Marcos Maidana.

And its no wonder Price was all smiles - the fight, which was the final round of the WBA super lightweight championships, ended with British champ Khan being named the unanimous victor.

Surrounded by her extensive entourage - including best friend and stylist Gary Cockerill - the mother-of-three revealed her new look, achieved after a marathon eight-hour salon session.

But according to onlookers, Price was not being her usual gregarious self and appeared to be making a conscious effort to avoid being photographed outside the Sin City venue.

And perhaps it's because she knows if husband Alex Reid saw photos of her with Khan she would be in big trouble.

Although they are just platonic friends, the 34-year-old - currently at home in Surrey - reportedly called Price in a rage on Saturday night because she was socialising with the boxer in Las Vegas.

But the typically strong-willed star was not cowed by his complaints.

A source revealed: 'She was cackling about how the last time she was pictured with Amir it got her into trouble - but she just said "bring it on".'

Price certainly didn't appear to be upset about angering Reid last night.

In fact, posing for a photo with a group of fans inside the Mandalay Casino, Price appeared to be completely in her element.

Unanimous: There was no doubt British boxer Amir Khan, left, triumphed over his Argentinian opponent Marcos Maidana
