Life after X Factor! Cher, JLS and Jedward prove you don't need to win the show to succeed, as they perform at Childline gig

Swagger: Cher Lloyd performed at the Childline gig in Dublin with fellow X Factor stars JLS and Jedward

As the remaining seven contestants battle for survival, three X Factor graduates prove there is life after the show - even without winning.

Reality stars Cher Lloyd, JLS and Jedward performed at the Cheerios Childline Concert in Dublin, despite none of them coming first in the show.

All three acts have gone on to have successful careers, after Lloyd came fourth in the competition, JLS finished behind Alexandra Burke in second place and the twins ended up in sixth position.

Tattooed teen: Despite coming fourth in The X Factor, Cher catapulted to fame with debut hit Swagger Jagger

The Malvern teenager looked every inch the pop princess from her waist downwards, but completed the outfit with a rather dull black top and jacket that was older than her years.

Cher, 18, worea colourful miniskirt that puffed out with the help of netting underneath and pulled in at the waist to show off her tiny frame.

Rather sensibly she avoided tottering along in heels and rather than risk falling over onstage, opted for a pair of bright red flats and white Lolita ankle socks.

Showing off: Marvin Humes and Aston Merrygold display their perfectly toned abs onstage by lifting their tops

Compared to the decadent circus dress she donned during her performance on The X Factor last month, her latest attire was relatively low-key.

She seemed to have a fantastic time though, simply tweeting: 'Had a brill time in dublin!'

But JLS took it in their stride to be noticed, with show-offs Marvin Humes and Aston Merrygold pulling their tops up to expose their defined abs.

Breaking the US? JLS are rumoured to be cracking America as well as their native UK

Oritse Williams and JB Gill may have overdone the takeaways recently, avoiding the public flashing.

They didn't seem to waste a drinking opportunity in Ireland either, tweeting today: 'Moooooorning!!!!! Jager bombs I can still taste them!!!! Wooooooah!! U can't beat bubbling in Dublin Axx'

Yet the quartet weren't the only ones to received adoring attention from their female fans, with former Westlife star Nicky Byrne blushing as a girl threw her bra onstage.

Boyish charm: He may be in his thirties, but Nicky Bryne is still a hit with the ladies after a girl throws her bra onstage

Celebrity Big Brother stars Jedward rocked up in typically outlandish attire, wearing cowboy boots and skintight sequin jeans that looked like they had been sprayed on.

Their hair was noticeably flat however, with the Grimes boys claiming they had run out of hairspray.

They were elated to have performed, saying on Twitter: 'Guys it is so coool (sic) we got to go on stage with westlife and rock out 4 there last Childline performance it was Jepic we became jedlife.'

Cheeky chaps: Jedward are still clinging onto their 15 minutes of fame which seems to be ongoing

Love them or hate them: Apparently the twins ran out of hairspray, so they had to perform with flat hair
