She had clearly made an effort to be the belle of the ball at her husband's 26th birthday party.
But Coleen Rooney may have slightly over-egged the pudding with the red lacy cocktail dress and door-knocker earrings.
The end result left her looking more like a flamenco dancer than the sophisticated look she was hoping for.
The mother-of-one, 25, showed off her tan from last week's holiday in Dubai in a short red Philip Armstrong lace dress.
She teamed the skater-style mini with a pair of towering heels, large red earrings with her hair swept back and piled on top of her hair.

Heavy on the panstick: The combination of Coleen's bold make-up and tan was over-powering

And rather than her usual low-key make-up, she opted for a professionally done face by make-up artist Sadie Day which was rather heavy on the panstick.
For once husband Wayne had made a semblance of an effort in shirt and blazer, but the birthday boy was pretty much upstaged by his wife's loud ensemble as the couple walked into Wings Chinese eaterie
After Manchester United were thrashed by their old rivals Manchester City yesterday, Wayne didn't appear to be in the mood for a party.

Unsurprisingly the striker looked glum as he arrived later that evening following his teams stunning 6-1 defeat.
Joining the couple were Rooney's England teammate Peter Crouch and his model wife Abbey.
Ironically he was joined at the celebrations by Gareth Barry - whose team Man City had beaten him earlier that day - who arrived with his wife Louise.

All white on the night: Man City player Joe Hart attended with his girlfriend Kimberly Crew

Another Man City player Joe Hart also dined with the Rooneys with his girlfriend Kimberly Crew.
During her holiday in the UAE with her parents and son Kai, Coleen had been excitedly tweeting designers Philip Armstrong and Tony Burke about her dress.
And when she finally put it on, she was full of praise for the designers.

She tweeted: 'Thank you so much Philip and Tony love my dress!!! X x x
Before his birthday meal, Rooney's team Manchester United were beaten 6-1 by old rivals City, marking the latter's biggest victory at Old Trafford since 1926.
Ahead of the game, Coleen was optimistic and tweeted her husband: 'Good luck Wayne Rooney for match today. Get a birthday goal.'

As well as Wayne's birthday, it was some quality time for the couple after spending the past week apart.
Wayne stayed behind in the UK while Coleen and their 23-month-old son Kai went to Dubai with her parents Colette and Tony McLoughlin.
During her vacation, Coleen posted photos of little Kai on a sunset desert safari in the Dubai dunes and of herself smoking a shisha pipe.
