Is Katie Price wearing you out? Dishevelled Danny Cipriani resorts to an energy bar for a much-needed boost

By Holly Thomas

Worn out: Melbourne Rebels fly half Danny Cipriani wasn't looking his best in London yesterday

He's had a difficult year professionally, and now it looks like additional stress in his private life is starting to take its toll on rugby player Danny Cipriani.

Looking dishevelled and glum, the 23-year-old munched on an energy bar in a London car park.

He was lambasted on Twitter yesterday by his model ex Imogen Thomas in response to his recent flirtatious liaisons with Katie Price.

The tirade came after photos emerged of Danny accompanied by mother-of-three Katie arriving at the Thorpe Park in the model's pink Range Rover.

Furious Imogen wrote: 'After everything in VEGAS & all the rubbish he told me about his issues, Danny Cipriani is the biggest bull******* out there. Absolute liar.'

Danny and Katie were attending Fright Night, went on a host of rides, including Saw and Maze: Experiment 10, during their VIP visit.

Distractions: Danny was spotted enjoying Thorpe Park's Fright Night this week with glamour model Katie Price

Cipriani is currently undergoing strict training in hopes of relaunching his international rugby career, so the theme park trip was probably a welcome change of pace for the player.

But Imogen is reportedly convinced that 33-year-old Price is only seeing Danny in an attempt to get her own back over a video which she believes Imogen leaked online.

The embarrassing footage shows Katie dancing and swearing in front of her kids after her split from Peter Andre.

A friend of Imogen's told The Sun: 'She thinks it's revenge. She loathes Katie over Danny and is raging she'll get her. She says Katie knew she'd started seeing him.'

This kind of stress is the last thing the Melbourne Rebels fly-half needs while he is making efforts to improve his rugby form.

Having battled with depression last year following his split with model Kelly Brooke, Danny's behaviour went downhill, and he was disciplined twice by the Melbourne Rebels last season.

Cipriani fell out of favour in February when he helped himself to a bottle of vodka from a Melbourne nightclub.

He was fined one match payment by the Rebels players' standards group.

In May Cipriani was dropped from the Rebels squad after staying out late after an away match against New South Wales.

On form: The 23-year-old was his usual smart self as he left London club Whisky Mist in August

The player was told he had lost 'lost the confidence of the club's entire playing group.

'I let the Rebels down at times this year, but next year will be different. I accept I've got to be more responsible off the field for the good of my team-mates,' Danny told the Age in July.

The player then vowed to turn his career around with a new disciplined regime, saying: 'Playing for England is my ultimate ambition. It's why I started playing rugby, and I'm never going to give up on my dream.'

Hit him hard: Danny's break-up with model Kelly Brooke last year plunged him into a depression which affected his career
