Ahoy there! Denise Van Outen shows off the results of her fitness regime looking fabulous in a nautical striped bikini

We saw her working out hard with her personal trainer last week and it appears that all that effort has certainly paid off.

Denise Van Outen cut a trim and toned figure as she stepped out onto the sands in Majorca earlier this month.

The 37-year-old showed off her fit size eight in a nautical-inspired white and blue striped bikini as she soaked up the sunshine.

And while she may have carried a shopper that read ‘Bet you’re well jell of my bag,’ it was her amazing shape that most women will no doubt be jealous of.

Most importantly Denise looked happy and relaxed as she made the most of her sunshine trip.

Denise made the most of the clear waters and was seen splashing around in the sea before taking time out to sunbathe and top up her golden glow.

And given her slim legs, flat stomach and toned arms it is hard to believe Denise's age or that she gave birth just fifteen months ago.

Toned: The actress showed off the results of her fitness regime which she has been working hard on in recent months

But while many people relax while on holiday Denise didn't let up her training and was seen jogging with her friend.

She donned a black training top and black and hot pink shorts for the workout which will no doubt be much harder than at home given the Mediterranean heat.

The actress, currently working on comedy Run For Your Wife, has been working out hard in recent weeks, and was seen stretching her legs and working up a sweat on Hampstead Heath.

Denise has been squeezing in regular workouts with her trainer Nicole Waterman, fitness expert to the stars.

The pair appeared to be limbering up for a heavy work out, with Denise taking things seriously in brand new Five Finger Shoes, designed to give a 'barefoot' feel.

No slacking here: While many people relax while on holiday Denise didn't let up her training and was seen jogging with her friend

Nicole had Denise doing some pretty painful-looking push-ups from a handy bench, exercising the presenter's biceps to the limits of their endurance.

She then threw some step-ups into the mix, taking full advantage of the makeshift equipment.

Afterwards they set off on a steady jog, Nicole wearing a cheery smile, and her client a look of determined concentration.

All the hard work is clearly paying off for Denise, who looks in incredible shape, particularly considering her hectic schedule.

Speaking in an interview for this week's edition of Closer magazine Denise said: 'I'm happy with my figure.'

Stretched to the limit: Denise has been squeezing in workouts in between filming new comedy Run For Your Wife with Sarah Harding and Danny Dyer

No pain no gain: All the Hampstead runs are clearly working for the presenter, who looked in great shape

Naturally as a busy woman there are limits to how much exercise she can cram in.

'With filming, I knew I'd be limited as to where I could run with my trainer Nicky Waterman, so she put me in touch with hirefitness.co.uk,' Denise explained.

Via the site, Denise hires different exercise machines for a couple of months each time.

Necessity is the mother of invention: Trainer Nicole made full use of their outdoor surroundings

'I just try to use them as often as I can. I often have them in front of the TV and put on EastEnders to give me a 30-minute workout. I'm doing a charity cycle race in January, so that has also worked as a great incentive.'

'I eat quite healthily, but I won't deprive myself because I'm relatively active,' Denise added.

In addition to regular work outs and running around after her 15-month-old daughter Betsy, Denise is working alongside Sarah Harding in independent comedy Run For Your Wife.

The duo play two women married to a bigamist London cab driver, played by The Football Factory star Danny Dyer.

Joking in an interview with The Manchester Evening News, Denise quipped: 'You can have it all – but you're going to be tired!'

Thankfully Denise, who is married to West End Star Lee Mead, has a little help, and remarked on her luck that Lee is a 'brilliant dad'.
