David Beckham gets snap happy during beach day out with his boys

Snap happy: David Beckham indulges in an impromptu photo shoot while at the beach with his boys

After 23 years playing professional football it is safe to say that David Beckham is in the latter stages of his career.

But if he does decides to retire from the beautiful game he does have another passion he likes to indulge in and the footballer showed off his photographer skills during a day at the beach with his boys.

David, 35, was seen capturing Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz as they soaked up the sunshine on the beach in Malibu.

However, the star puzzled many when he arrived protecting himself from the strong Californian sun in a T-shirt with a dubious pattern on it.

While David Beckham isn’t overtly religious it was still a surprise to see him sporting an inverted pentagram – a symbol sometimes associated with paganism and satanic worship.

The footballer was seen wearing the controversial T-shirt during a day at the beach with his boys.

Like the design? David was seen last year sporting the same symbol on a green T-shirt at a baseball match

This isn't the first time the football ace has donned the symbol and he was seen wearing a similar T-shirt in green at a baseball match last year.

However, the symbol was once used by Christians to represent the five wounds of Jesus which would fit with the religious imagery that Becks is so fond of when it comes to his tattoos.

And indeed, he soon took off the top to show off his body art while playing with his boys on the beach.

On the ball: The super dad still couldn't resist a kick around with his lads however

Referee! Cruz manages to get the ball off his dad in their game of beach football but Becks soon gets it back again

Swapping his football for a camera, the L.A. Galaxy star showed off her photography flare and got snap happy as the boys played with body boards in the surf.

David was dressed in a pair of oversized purple and yellow shorts – the colours of his favourite basketball team the LA Lakers – with a matching baseball cap.

But after indulging in an impromptu photo shoot with his boys Romeo, eight, and Cruz, six, it wasn’t long before David was enjoying a kick about with his oldest boy Brooklyn, 12.

Giving chase: David had plenty of energy as he raced after his boys on the beach

And showing his son just how it is done David performed a number of keep ups as Brooklyn watched on.

But it wasn’t long before Romeo fancied a bit of the ball and went in to tackle his father in an attempt to steal the bright yellow ball.

Meanwhile Cruz found himself covered up to his neck in sand, but appeared happy at being buried on the beach.

Showing off: Later in the day David demonstrated his ball skills performing keep ups

Take that: Romeo couldn't wait to get involved and took the ball off David with a tackle

It appeared to be a strictly boys only day out as Victoria was nowhere to be seen.

The pregnant fashion designer, who is expecting their fourth child, a daughter, this summer may have been enjoying the chance to relax on her own at home.

Despite being six months pregnant the former Spice Girl hasn’t ditched her Louboutin high heels and has been looking as slim as ever with her baby bump rarely on show.

David discussed their excitement at the news while appearing on late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this month.

Up to my neck in it: Cruz seemed pleased to be buried in the beach

He said: 'We've got three beautiful boys and we're ecstatic to have another one on the way but when we first found out, we went for the scan and they said, "oh, it's a boy" and we were like "great" but Victoria was like, "Ahh, another penis in the house".

'She thinks there's too many in the house already. So then we went back for the next scan and they said, "oh, we think it's a girl". So we were like, "oh, ok, well, that's amazing".

'And then on the final scan they said it's definitely a girl so, yeah, it's incredible.'

The footballer told his host that he and Victoria had a few names in mind for their daughter, who Victoria is due to give birth to this summer.

And he said they had also asked their sons for some ideas and added: 'When we got told it was a boy, my middle son Romeo said, "How about Justin Bieber as a name? Justin Bieber Beckham?"

'So now we know it's a girl, he said, "Well, how about Justine Bieber Beckham?"
