Bending over backwards: Rihanna struck a sultry pose in a red bandage swimsuit for her pictorial in Vogue's 10th annual shape issue

Rihanna shows that she is in the best shape of her life in a new pictorial for Vogue magazine for their 10th annual shape issue.

And someone who is said to be appreciating that impressive form is Irish actor Colin Farrell, who had dinner with the singer last night in California.

The Bajan songstress looks amazing as she bends over backwards wearing a revealing red bandage swimsuit for the prestigious magazine shoot.

With her flame red hair and black ankle boots, the Only Girl In The World songstress strikes a stunning pose.

Rihanna undoubtedly has one of the best bodies in the business so it was no surprise that she was chosen for the issue celebrating women's bodies.

In images taken by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz, Rihanna is also pictured in a sultry image wearing a black leotard and with a cropped auburn wig.

Her hazel eyes and bright red lipstick against the backdrop of the blue sea reveals the singer's beauty in a light never before seen.

But of course, Rihanna would not be happy unless she got an edgy shot in there and a very close up shot of the S&M hit-maker with a snarling glare shows the singer always wants to ensure she brings a bit of naughty with her nice.

These pictures were published on the day she emerged from the same restaurant as Farrell who she is rumoured to be in a close friendship with.

The pair did not want to be photographed together so came out of Santa Monica eatery Giorgio Baldi separately last night.

Rihanna looked demure, by her standards, in black cropped trousers and a silver blouse.

Her curly red hair made sure she was noticed though as she exited the Italian restaurant.

Farrell meanwhile, looked rather sheepish as he made a quick dash out wearing jeans and a black T-shirt.

It has been reported in recent weeks that the pair have been sending flirty text messages to each other.

The Sun claims that Farrell, 34 has 'worked his charms on Rihanna to such an extent she hasn't stopped texting him', since they swapped numbers earlier this year when they both appeared on The Graham Norton Show in the UK.

Secret lovers? Rihanna and Irish actor Colin Farrell are rumoured to be dating - the pair went to Irish restaurant Giorgio Baldi last night but left separately

A source told the paper: 'Colin was taken aback by some of the texts. He reckons he might well be in there. They're both single, so why not?'

It is also rumoured that he will be introducing the 23-year-old to his two sons, James, seven and 18-month-old Henry, while she is in LA.

But Rihanna is not all pleasure, she has got down to business recently in a TV advert for the American Cancer Society.

The Umbrella singer appears in the video and says: 'Surprise! Happy birthday!'

She then raps her take on the lyrics to 50 Cent's hit, In Da Club, singing: 'It's your birthday. We gonna party 'cos it's your birthday'.

The campaign features the tag line: 'The American Cancer Society. The official sponsor of birthdays'.

Justin Bieber and Celine Dion also appear in the campaign in separate ads.

The Barbadian beauty is pictured in a sheer floral dress which clings to her enviable curves with green, blue and red flowers covering her modesty on the cover of Vogue's April issue.

Her bright red hair, which is partially covering her face, is complemented by bright red lips against the blue sunset background shot by Annie Leibovitz.

The front cover claims Rihanna opens up about ‘fame, family and how she really feels about her curves’ for the April issue of the U.S. magazine.

The singer also reveals how she has been getting into shape for her role in film Battleship.

Rihanna has been touring Australia in recent weeks re-tweeted a post on Twitter that said: ‘@Rihanna is the youngest black woman to cover VOGUE magazine US."’

After being out of the U.S. for a number of weeks Rihanna seemed eager to get back on the party scene just a few hours after jetting back home.

The confident singer put her cleavage on full display when she went for dinner in Los Angeles on Sunday night wearing an attention-grabbing low-cut mini dress.

And she almost appeared to be spilling out of the tiny dress as she arrived at the city's Giorgio Baldi restaurant, just hours after she had touched down at Los Angeles International Airport.

The singer drew further attention to her look by transforming her hair - which had been long and straight when she stepped off the plane - into a fiery red afro.

Rihanna is renowned for her outlandish wig collection and her ‘hair architect’ recently divulged his ideas behind the star’s ever-changing hair pieces.

Ursula Stephen likes to use wigs on the 23-year-old because they are better to style with rollers and hot irons, while preserving the health of her natural hair.

Ms Stephen said that Rihanna loves making a statement with her hair and wouldn’t let him tame one of his most outlandish frizzy lioness-like manes.

Quick change: Rihanna arrived at LAX with long sleek locks (right) but by evening had changed into her massive afro

‘I was like, ‘Bring me that wig and let me cut it down for you to wear out’. But she wouldn’t let me touch it!’ She told StyleList.

Her wigs can cost anything from almost $600 to $2,000 but Ms Stephen said: ‘It’s not about the cost, or even if it’s synthetic or real hair.

‘It’s about the style you want first. You have to have your vision, then you go and find the piece.

'The only thing I’d say is a better choice to go with synthetic hair if you want a real curly style. It holds much better', he said.

The hair expert said Rihanna chooses her styles depending on what mood she’s in or what image she wants to portray on stage or just out and about with friends.

The S&M singer arrived at Los Angeles International Airport earlier in the day dressed down in a tracksuit and demure make-up.

She was still sporting a red wig, but instead of the frizzy mane, she stepped off her plane with long straight locks.

But last night she wanted all eyes on her as she strolled around in a barely-there dress, high heels and the flamboyant wig.
