Making your mind up: Katie Price's wedding ring is magically back on her finger hours after she 'forgot' it at book signing

By Jody Thompson

The ring's back on: Katie Price's wedding ring had magically reappeared at a book signing in Southend yesterday

She sparked rumours her marriage to Alex Reid might be in trouble when she was spotted without her wedding ring at two book signings yesterday.

But, just hours after the appearances at Romford and Bluewater in Kent, Katie's band had magically reappeared on her ring finger as she arrived at a signing for her fourth autobiography You Only Live Once in Southend.

A spokesperson had denied earlier in the day that the missing ring meant anything, insisting: 'She and Alex are fine, she just forgot to put her wedding ring on in the morning as she was in a rush.'

Sparkles: Katie had earlier forgotten to wear the ring at two other book signings in Kent and Essex

However, the reappearance of the ring isn't likely to stop rumours that Katie and Alex's relationship is on the rocks.

It was reported earlier this week that Alex, 35, and Katie, 32, have been rowing since the summer, with many arguments sparked by her failure to get pregnant.

Two failed attempts at IVF are thought to have strained their relationship even further.

Katie perhaps didn't help matters by asking to be reconciled with ex husband Peter Andre in her latest book.

Writing about their sudden split in May 2009, she writes, 'I still feel I need to see him and talk about why we broke up.

'It sounds crazy but it's been well over a year since we split up and I've only seen him twice.'

The actual reason behind the couple's split was never revealed, although the 37-year-old Mysterious Girl star has spoken about his problem with Katie's flirtatious behaviour after a few drinks.

Miss Price adds: 'I'd like to be able to put my side across then close the chapter though I also know that nothing is going to change.

'Peter was once my best friend as well as my husband.'

'I thank him for taking me on a wonderful journey of self discovery,' she says in the paragraph-long ode.

'I've turned from the cocooned chrysalis into the butterfly I am today!'

Price and Reid had a whirlwind romance before marrying in Vegas in February this year. They then had their wedding blessed again in July.

Meanwhile, Katie has also taken to Twitter to say that she would no longer be featuring her and Peter's children on her reality TV show.

Posting on her official account (@misskatieprice) yesterday, she said: 'Start filming for my new reality show this week, Junior and Princess won't be in any of my shows or any photo shoots again.

'I want to withdraw them from the public eye as I want them to have as normal a childhood as possible and want them to choose what they want.'

Princess, three, and Junior, five, are still set to feature on Pete's show, however.

Katie has now finished filming What Katie Did Next with ITV2 but will continue with the show for Living TV.

She is also working on a new reality TV show for the station with the working title of Jordan Idol, where she will tour the UK auditioning girls who have potential to take her crown as Britain's most successful glamour girl.

Writing on her website last week, Katie said: 'I can't wait to go up and down the country to audition girls for one of my new shows Jordan Idol!'

Alex has also signed a deal with the station to make a two-part documentary called I Am Alex Reid, following him as he decides what to do as a career.
